Cancellation
We ask that you inform your therapist as soon as you are aware of a schedule conflict. We also understand there are circumstances that cause missed appointments and cancellations. A required 24-hour notice for any missed appointment is needed, and Authentic Healing reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee if this requirement is not met. Please keep in mind, insurance companies do not pay this fee and the client will be responsible. Repeated cancellations will be reviewed, and it will be determined if this is the right time for services to continue. We will discuss and make attempts with you to reschedule any missed appointment, to maintain consistent support and growth towards goals.
No Surprise Act
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate, explaining how much your medical care will cost.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
